The Summer Send-Off Classic Car Show takes place at Ross Ferraro Town Center, 960 N. Gary Avenue in Carol Stream, IL, from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Saturday, August 29.
Presented by The Village Tavern & Grill of Carol Stream and The Bags For Life Foundation, with help from Chitown Exotics Car Group, the event is expected to feature more than 100 classic vehicles. The featured show cars are limited to pre-1970s vehicles, giving visitors a chance to get an up-close look at vintage automotive design, chrome, craftsmanship, and plenty of horsepower.
Show vehicles are scheduled to arrive by 11:00 AM for parking and setup, with the official car show kicking off at noon.
More Than Just a Classic Car Show
While the cars are the main attraction, there will be plenty happening throughout the day for visitors who aren’t die-hard gearheads.
The Summer Send-Off Classic Car Show is planned as a full day of entertainment with live music, food and drinks, games, trophies, raffles, prizes, and a winner-take-all bags tournament.
Live music begins at 12:30 PM, with scheduled performances including Rick Lindy & The Wild Ones, LP Vinyl, and Libido Funk Circus.
Food and drinks will also be available from The Village Tavern & Grill of Carol Stream, making it easy to grab something to eat while checking out the cars and enjoying the entertainment.
Even better, the event supports the local community. According to the organizers, 100% of the proceeds from classic car registrations will be donated to local nonprofit organizations.
