Start the Day With the Traditional St. Anthony’s Procession
Before the main festival gets underway, visitors can experience one of the day’s most meaningful traditions: the annual St. Anthony’s Procession.
Beginning at St. Anthony’s Mutual Aid Society, the procession travels through Downtown Glassboro and brings together generations of local families to celebrate faith, heritage, and community.
Visitors can gather along Poplar Street to watch the procession before heading toward Glassboro Town Square for the official start of the festival.
Italian Food Takes Center Stage
Come hungry.
Food is naturally one of the biggest attractions at an Italian festival, and this year’s lineup gives visitors plenty to explore.
Festivalgoers can expect everything from porchetta, meatball sandwiches, sausage and peppers, pasta, arancini, chicken cutlet sandwiches, and wood-fired pizza to Italian desserts including cannoli, sfogliatelle, maritozzi, and other pastries.
St. Anthony’s Mutual Aid Fund will also serve its famous porchetta and meatball sandwiches at the corner of Main Street and Rowan Boulevard, with proceeds supporting the organization’s work in the community.
Visitors 21 and older can also explore the festival’s Tour of Italy Italian Wine & Cocktail Experience, featuring regional Italian wines and classic aperitivo-style cocktails.
Live Music and Italian Entertainment Throughout the Day
The 2026 Italian Festival isn’t only about the food.
Entertainment is scheduled throughout the afternoon and evening, giving visitors plenty of reasons to stick around after grabbing something to eat.
The Main Stage lineup includes:
- 2:30 p.m. – The Italian Fairy
- 3:30 p.m. – Greg Armstrong & Friends
- 5:15 p.m. – Vivaci Dancers
- 6:00 p.m. – “That’s Amore” Sing-Along
- 8:00 p.m. – Right Turn at 40
- 9:45 p.m. – Glassboro Police Charitable Association 50/50 Winner Announcement
New for 2026 is the Heritage Stage, located near Rowan Boulevard and Victoria Street. The additional stage will highlight Italian culture through local performers, cultural demonstrations, entertainment, and community storytelling.
Pizza, Cannoli and Grape-Stomping Contests
The 2026 festival is also adding a little friendly competition.
Visitors will have opportunities to watch — or participate in — a pizza-eating contest, cannoli-eating contest, and grape-stomping contest.
Space for the contests is limited, so anyone interested in participating should visit the Glassboro tent during the festival to learn about availability and registration.
